The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Davidsdottir moves in looking to clinch but Oscar Peralta pushes him off.
Davidsdottir shoots in for a takedown but Oscar Peralta shows good takedown defense.
Oscar Peralta circles away from the clinch attempt
and Oscar Peralta connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Oscar Peralta doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Davidsdottir counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Davidsdottir.
Davidsdottir has hold of one of Oscar Peralta's legs. Oscar Peralta is fighting the takedown attempt but Davidsdottir gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard.

Davidsdottir seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Oscar Peralta for as long as he can get away with.
The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Oscar Peralta shoots in looking for a takedown. Davidsdottir tries to sprawl out of it but Oscar Peralta keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Davidsdottir manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Davidsdottir seemed to be looking to counter by closing the distance.
Oscar Peralta shoots in but Davidsdottir avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Brynjolfur Davidsdottir has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Rodrigo Oscar Peralta.
Davidsdottir is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Oscar Peralta tries for a takedown but Davidsdottir sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
