Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Matt Wills (ranked 1662 p4p, 63 weight class) and Wladimir Yaroslev (ranked 2495 p4p, 90 weight class). Wills comes to the cage accompanied by Shattered-by A PERFECT CIRCLE. Yaroslev has chosen Man with a Plan as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Matt Wills!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Wladimir Yaroslev!
The judges for this bout are Bruno Hogan, Donatello Bradman and Winston Howard.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wills misses the jab.
Yaroslev looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it.
Wills swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Yaroslev drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Wills defends it well.
Wills shoots in looking for a takedown but Yaroslev manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Wills's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Yaroslev tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away.

Wills decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.

Wills seems to be looking for submissions.

Yaroslev looking to work for a kimura from the bottom.
Wills has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.
Wills works his foot free and advances to mount.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Yaroslev looking to escape from mount but he's given up his back!
Wills tries to get the hooks in deep but Yaroslev pushed the leg off.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Yaroslev fending off the submission attempt from Wills.
Yaroslev is in bad spot here.
Yaroslev has found himself in a tricky position here. He's been working his transitions in training so let's see if he can work his way out of it.
Yaroslev is keeping busy.

Wills has his hand under the chin of his opponent looking for the choke. He's nearly got it! This one could be all over! But no, Yaroslev has freed his hand and lives to survive another… well, another couple of seconds at least!

Wills is working for the choke. He's slipped one arm under the chin. Yaroslev has to defend the other arm for all he's worth... but Wills has managed to get that arm free too and he's tightening the choke! Yaroslev taps out and looks absolutely disgusted with himself. Wills doesn't care though - he's delighted!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:58 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Matt Wills!
Matt Wills took to the mic in his post fight interview and said 'The verdict is in and it's GUILTY!!!I'm taking another arm home for my trophy. '.
In defeat, Wladimir Yaroslev stepped up to the mic, saying 'I'm so pissed at myself right now. I should have been able to beat him. I guess I go back and try to do better next time.'.
