Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Gareth May (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and David Axelrod (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). May comes to the cage accompanied by I- Black Sabbath. Gareth May is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples... Tweaking his own nipples that is.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

May darts in and clinches Axelrod up against the cage.
Axelrod is trying to slow down the pace of the fight but May is keeping busy.
May is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Axelrod gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.
Axelrod has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. May is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
Axelrod avoids the elbow strike from May, against the cage.

Axelrod blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning.

Axelrod has dropped down and is working for a takedown. May is trying to keep an underhook but Axelrod manages to get the takedown into half guard.

Axelrod turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Axelrod manages to end up in side control.
May sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard.

May manages to escape and get back to his feet.

A looping hook to the body misses from May. Axelrod does a little dance to reset his feet.
David Axelrod seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

May pushes Axelrod up against the cage in a clinch.
Axelrod lands a body shot.
Axelrod stops a takedown attempt from May.
Axelrod prevents a takedown attempt there.
Axelrod wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
May goes for a takedown attempt but Axelrod pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.

That was a close round but I would say that Gareth May will probably get the nod.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!

A combination from Axelrod does no damage.
Axelrod shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has May pinned against the cage. May gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
May throws a series of punches but Axelrod moves out of range.
A head kick misses from Axelrod.
A lazy left from Axelrod finds it's target.
Jab, cross, leg kick. Nice combination by May!

Axelrod tries to keep at a distance but May has taken the fight into the clinch.
May tries to pull guard but Axelrod holds him up against the cage and eventually May drops back down to his feet.
May just leaning against Axelrod, taking a breather.

May tries for a takedown but Axelrod manages to get underhooks.
Axelrod is breathing heavily.
Axelrod on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.
May with the Thai clinch. He's looking to land a big knee but he's not managed it this time.
A short right hand to the side of the head by Axelrod.
May is pressed up against the cage. Axelrod has hold of a leg and is looking to drag May down to the mat. May avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.

and May holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.

May looks to land a combination but Axelrod avoids it well.

May controlling the pace for now.
May blocks Axelrod's feeble attempts to strike from the bottom.
May trying to control but he's not successful this time.

May tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
May lands a big shot there that rocks Axelrod but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.

Axelrod wants to try and get back to his feet.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
May scoring with strikes but Axelrod is staying in there.
May tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!

May rushes Axelrod and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
May creates a bit of distance and throws an elbow that only just misses.
Axelrod wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but May has him pressed against the cage.
Axelrod prevents a takedown attempt there.

Axelrod manages to break the clinch.

Excellent takedown into side control there by May.
Axelrod is looking to work his way out of this bad position but May is controlling him well.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Axelrod is looking for a sweep.
Axelrod is looking to slip a leg under and get half guard but May is one step ahead and moves to full mount!
Axelrod takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Axelrod is bucking up trying to escape but May cracks him with another couple of good strikes.
May controlling the position easily from mount.
May lands a nice shot to the head.
May landing strikes from the mount and Axelrod is in trouble!
Axelrod is really trying hard to get back to his feet.
Gareth May is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
May controlling his opponent.
May seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Axelrod for as long as he can get away with.

The referee stands the fighters back up. Gareth May just wasn't active enough from the dominant position.
Axelrod throws a head kick that misses.

May gets the takedown into side control.
May is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Axelrod's shoulder. That is not cool.
Axelrod takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better.
May controlling the position.

May decides to stand back up. May steps back and let's Axelrod get back to his feet.

May drags the fight down to the ground.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now May is on top in guard.
Gareth May overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Axelrod has an active guard here but May has managed to pass into half guard.
