Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Nate Diaz (ranked 4808 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tongchai Nongkee Kulabdam (ranked 5863 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Tongchai Nongkee Kulabdam!
The judges for this bout are Michael Johnstone, Winston Alpacca and Bart Greer.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kulabdam goes for a high kick. It partially lands.


It looks like Nate Diaz has been cut.
Diaz tries to check a leg kick but that clearly hurt him.

and Diaz counters by clinching up.

Diaz drops down looking for an ankle pick but Kulabdam pulls his leg out and moves away.
Kulabdam shoots in for a double leg but Diaz sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Nate Diaz. That's going to take a lot out of him.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Kulabdam really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Diaz. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Diaz is pushing down on Kulabdam's leg trying to pass to half guard. Kulabdam is fighting to maintain full guard but Diaz has managed to sneak the leg through.
Diaz will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Diaz connects with a nice short shot to Kulabdam's temple.

As Kulabdam tries to get set, Diaz tries to push him back and clinch up but Kulabdam manages to avoid the attempt.

Kulabdam misses with a combination

and Diaz counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
Kulabdam is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

A very excited looking Nate Diaz rambled incoherently for about 5 minutes post fight about how awesome he is. It was kinda funny for a while but then everyone got annoyed.
