Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Isidore Namuhoranye (ranked 6434 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tyler Grenoble (ranked 25037 p4p, 0 weight class). Well, I have no idea who's going to take this one!

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Tyler Grenoble!
The judges for this bout are Michael Johnstone, Bart Greer and Daniel Franklin.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Namuhoranye defending well as Grenoble loads up on a big left hand.
Grenoble's coach down at Cozad The Island was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Grenoble's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.
Namuhoranye misses with the combination.

Grenoble closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.

Grenoble is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Namuhoranye defends it well.
Namuhoranye is looking for a sweep. Grenoble is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Namuhoranye is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Namuhoranye is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Grenoble is just riding it out for now. Namuhoranye eventually gives up the hold.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

Grenoble dives in and grabs Namuhoranye's left leg, looking for a takedown. Namuhoranye pushes down on Grenoble's head and hops out.

Grenoble manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Namuhoranye on his heels. He'll look to pass Namuhoranye's guard now, I'm sure.

Namuhoranye uses his free foot to push down on Grenoble's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Grenoble.

Namuhoranye has control of Grenoble's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Grenoble regains control of the situation pretty easily.

Namuhoranye can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Grenoble is looking to escape.
Namuhoranye is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Grenoble is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
