The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Patrick pushes Rooney up against the cage in a clinch.
Rooney blocks a punch to the side of the head.
Rooney has Patrick pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Patrick manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.
Rooney blocks a couple of punches on the inside.
Rooney blocks an uppercut.
Patrick swings wildly with an uppercut but Rooney uses good head movement to avoid it.
Rooney prevents a body shot from Patrick.

Rooney breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Rooney is on top in guard.

Rooney stands up and waves to Patrick to follow him.
Patrick tries to clinch up.

Rooney is looking to land body kicks.
Patrick walks forward, straight into a front kick from Rooney.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Patrick steps to his left, right into the path of a big body kick from Rooney. That one must have hurt.

Rooney throws a quick inside leg kick.
Patrick tries to clinch but Rooney moves out of range.
Rooney thows a body kick. Patrick tries to catch it but that hurt him.
Patrick tries to clinch up but Rooney circles away and keeps his distance.

Rooney lands a big head kick that sends Patrick tumbling to the mat! Rooney takes a step backwards and waves Patrick back to his feet - he wants the finish!

Patrick is rocked!

It looks like Sonny Patrick has been cut.
Crack! A monster head kick from Rooney and Patrick falls like a tree - timbeeeeeeeeeeerrrr! A highlight reel knockout by Rooney!
