And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jeff Boomhaur!
The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, Wesley Smith and Robert Twigg.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Burke manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Boomhaur on his heels. He'll look to pass Boomhaur's guard now, I'm sure.

Boomhaur wriggles free and stands up.
Burke swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Jeff Boomhaur seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Burke shoots in and drives through. Boomhaur sprawls well.
Burke lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Boomhaur backs up against the cage.
Boomhaur fails with the takedown.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Burke darts in and clinches Boomhaur up against the cage.
Burke with an attempt at a knee that misses.
Boomhaur pushes off an throws an elbow but Burke leans to the side and avoids it. We're back to clinching against the cage.
Boomhaur has Burke pressed against the cage, preventing Burke from circling away and getting back to striking at range.

Burke drops down looking for an ankle pick but Boomhaur pulls his leg out and moves away.

Burke is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Boomhaur's half guard.

Burke is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

Burke wants to work for an arm triangle but Boomhaur is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

Burke is looking for a kimura. It's pretty deep but Boomhaur still has the half guard so he's probably OK. Oh, Boomhaur has exploded into a beautiful escape there and after a quick scramble, he's ended up in side control on top! Nice work!

Well Boomhaur has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
