Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Conrad Tiner (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Christopher Kanu (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Conrad Tiner!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Christopher Kanu!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tiner fails with an attempt to clinch.
Tiner shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Kanu as he avoids it easily.
Kanu tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Tiner tries a head kick but it misses.
Kanu tries for a takedown but Tiner sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Conrad Tiner seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Kanu misses with a takedown attempt - Tiner sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Kanu shoots in but Tiner avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Conrad Tiner has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Christopher Kanu.

Tiner drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Kanu stops Tiner from passing to mount.
Kanu manages to get back to half guard.

Tiner is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Kanu doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Tiner.

Tiner is working for a kimura but Kanu is defending it quite comfortably.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Kanu is pressing down on Tiner's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.
Tiner throwing strikes but missing.

Tiner postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Kanu is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Tiner, into his guard.
Tiner is breathing heavily.
Kanu trying to stand up but can't free himself from Tiner's guard.

Tiner had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Kanu is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Tiner Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Kanu's back instead.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Kanu rolls, trying to escape but Tiner keeps control of the position.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Tiner has Kanu flattened out and is raining down punches.
Kanu rolls and manages to get back to half guard. Nicely done.

Tiner in half guard on the top. He's looking for a kimura... He's got it locked and he's managed to free his trapped foot. Kanu tries to escape but it's on too tight and he has to tap! Great BJJ skills there from Tiner!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:05 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Conrad Tiner!
