Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Ben Law (ranked 4488 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rob Tidwell (ranked 3565 p4p, 0 weight class). Well, I have no idea who's going to take this one!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tidwell pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Law misses with a kick to the body

so Tidwell counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
Law definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.

Law looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Law is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Tidwell is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
Let's hope that Tidwell has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
It looks like Tidwell might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.

Law is working for submissions here. He's thrown up his legs looking for a triangle but Tidwell frees his head nicely. Oh but Law has switched to an armbar! Tidwell is tapping furiously! Lovely submission there!
