Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Jerome Garcia!
The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, Frank Antenori and Jack Bonds.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Garcia drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.

Garcia creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Cooke sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.

Cooke stands and steps away. Garcia gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.

The fight moves into the clinch position.

Garcia jumps guard and drags Cooke to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.

Cooke drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Cooke jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Cooke really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Cooke pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.

Cooke decides to take the fight back to the feet.

Garcia dives in and scores a takedown into Cooke's guard.

The fighters are working up against the cage. Cooke manages to wriggle his way back to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched against the cage.
Garcia is breathing heavily.

Cooke is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Garcia is defending well for now.

Cooke's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

It looked like Cooke was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit.
Garcia tries a head kick but it misses.

Cooke gets a clinch.
Garcia is looking to control Cooke's arms but Cooke gets an underhook and turns him. Now Garcia has his back to the cage.

Cooke distracts Garcia with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.

Cooke keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Garcia's head.

Cooke gets to his feet - Garcia follows without any prompting.
Cooke shoots in but Garcia avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Cooke looks to land a body kick but Garcia moved away.

Garcia closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Garcia lands in his opponent's guard.

Cooke has managed to wall walk up one of the corner posts to get back to his feet. Garcia is pushing him up against the cage, looking to control the position.

Kneeeeees! The crowd are calling for knees to the body. Cooke obliges.

Garcia drags the fight down to the ground.

Cooke stands and steps away. Garcia gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.

Garcia is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Cooke's half guard.

Cooke tightens his grip and picks Garcia up, before dumping him to the ground. Garcia manages to land in guard.
Cooke cracks Garcia with a solid left hand.
Cooke postures up and lands some nice ground and pound.
Cooke won't allow Garcia to get back to his feet.
Cooke lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.
Garcia wants to stand but Cooke is controlling the position.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Garcia shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Garcia was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Cooke has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Garcia takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Cooke is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Garcia's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Garcia's back!

Cooke is working on the RNC. He looks like he's got it but Garcia won't tap... Oh, he's out! The ref rips Cooke off his unconscious opponent!
