Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between John Tucker (ranked 4386 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bente Log (ranked 4812 p4p, 0 weight class). Tucker comes into the arena with Ace of Spades blaring out of the sound system. Bente Log has the eye of the tiger tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, John Tucker!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Bente Log!
The judges for this bout are Michael Johnstone, Bart Greer and Dirk Anderson.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Log looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Tucker is fending him off so far but Log persists. Nope, Tucker circles away and we're back to standing.
An attempted straight right counter from Tucker misses the target.
Tucker uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Log.
Log shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Tucker sprawls well. Tucker wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Log gets slowly back to his feet.

Tucker moves into range and clinches up with Log.
Tucker throws a punch but it's blocked by Log.
Log looking for a takedown.
John Tucker has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Bente Log.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Tucker jumps into guard, dragging Log to the mat.
Log trying to control but Tucker is working from the bottom.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Log trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Tucker holds on and takes a little breather.
Log tries to free his leg and advance position but Tucker is retaining full guard.
Tucker is pulling down on Log's head to control his posture.
Log showing good wrestling skills to control the position.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
Tucker striking off his back but it's not causing Log any problems.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.
Log has a takedown stuffed.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Log shoots in for a double leg but Tucker sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Tucker is looking to counter the offense by Log and move into the clinch.
Tucker lands a slapping body shot.

Tucker moves into the clinch.

Tucker pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

Tucker closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Log tries to get to full guard but Tucker has control of the leg.
Log looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Tucker controlling the pace.
Tucker wants to lay and pray for a moment but Log keeps working.
Tucker lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Tucker winds up and cracks Log with a swinging punch to the side of the head.
Tucker lands with a punch from half guard.
Tucker content to control rather than advance.
Log flails away from the bottom but he's not doing any damage.
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Tucker lands a nice short elbow.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Tucker is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount!

Tucker breaks from Log's wrist control and lands an elbow.

BOOM! Tucker connects with a massive shot to the dome!
Log is looking to get to half guard.
Tucker with a couple of short strikes.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Tucker looking to finish Log with some ground and pound. This is bad for Log!
Log regains half guard.
Tucker is nestled in close to Log, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
Tucker looks to score some points with some ground and pound.
Tucker looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Log with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

Tucker is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Log sees it coming and defends easily.
Tucker lands strikes from half guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

John Tucker dominated that round.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.


Log tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Log will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Log avoids a lazy jab quite easily.

Tucker feints and as Log raises his hands in defense, Tucker changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Log thows some rabbit punches from the bottom but they don't do any damage.
Tucker is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Log can do to turn this around?

Tucker lands a couple of decent looking shots.
Tucker connects with a couple of short punches.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Tucker looking to sit in guard and control but Log gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Tucker is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Log has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Tucker is proving hard to escape from.
Log won't allow Tucker to get back to his feet.

Tucker is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Log defends well.
Log wants to control from the top but Tucker keeps moving.
John Tucker overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Log missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
Log stands and throws Tucker's legs to the side, diving into side control.
Log is looking to take a break and control but Tucker is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Log has knee on belly and now moves to full mount! Trouble for Tucker!
Log thuds his fist into the canvas! Oooouch!

Log looking to control but Tucker is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.

Log looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet.

Tucker is looking to get to half guard.
Log looking to ground and pound but Tucker is blocking nicely.
Tucker is trying to escape the mount.
Tucker looking to escape from mount but he's given up his back!
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Log is landing with strikes from the back.
A lull in the action here.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Bente Log showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.


Tucker avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

Tucker moves into the clinch.

Tucker tightens his grip and picks Log up, before dumping him to the ground. Log manages to land in guard.

Log can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Tucker controls the pace.

Log throws some sloppy strikes off his back.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Log working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Tucker doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Tucker manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Log wants to get back to his feet but Tucker is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

Tucker is looking to advance position but Log has hit a scissor sweep - now he's on top in mount!

Tucker breaks Log's hooks off and manages to turn into his guard.
Tucker wants to pass the guard but Log is keeping the position.

Tucker with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.

Tucker is working Log over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.
Tucker has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

John Tucker showed his dominance in that final round.
Well Tucker has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

John Tucker tried to hype himself up post fight but didn't word it too well and it ended up with him sounding like a bit of a tool.
