Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Azimaku Renile (ranked 5290 p4p, 0 weight class) and Charles Anderson (ranked 4480 p4p, 0 weight class). Azimaku Renile looks tired to me. Hopefully he has got enough gas left in the tank to put in a good performance.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Charles Anderson!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, David Hoff and Sandra Marshall.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Anderson shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Renile but Renile pushes him off and we're back to square one.

Azimaku Renile has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Charles Anderson.

Renile keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Anderson shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Renile eats them both and turns towards Anderson to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Anderson stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Anderson wants it to stay on the feet.

Renile gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Renile is wriggling around but Anderson manages to pass to half guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

Anderson is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Anderson looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Renile with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
Renile knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Anderson on the ground.

Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Anderson in particular looking to stall.

Anderson drops an elbow to the side of Renile's head.
Renile is refusing to be controlled, as Anderson sits in half guard.

A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Anderson.

Anderson drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Renile takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better.

Anderson scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at Renile to see if he's OK.

Renile keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Anderson throws a shot to the body.

Anderson feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Anderson connects with a nice short shot to Renile's temple.

Anderson drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Anderson postures up and lands a big shot to Renile's brow.

Anderson drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Anderson jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Anderson throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Renile stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.

Charles Anderson comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Anderson has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
