Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Juan Gonzalez (ranked 4364 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sansu Sunaman (ranked 6376 p4p, 0 weight class). Gonzalez has a slight injury, which hopefully won't affect the fight too much. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gonzalez tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Sunaman paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Sunaman uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Gonzalez.

Sunaman forces Gonzalez back against the cage and clinches.
Gonzalez is hobbling a little on that front leg after taking quite a few leg kicks so far in this fight.

Gonzalez shoots in for a takedown but Sunaman shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Sunaman throws a nice inside leg kick.
Gonzalez tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Sunaman manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Sunaman lands with a kick to the temple. Gonzalez shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"
Sunaman lands a head kick. Gonzalez smiles back at him and beckons him forward.
Sansu Sunaman seems to be getting the better of the standup.

Sunaman tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Gonzalez's elbow.

Sunaman has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Gonzalez tries to circle away but Sunaman has him pinned against the cage.

Gonzalez steps to his left, right into the path of a big body kick from Sunaman. That one must have hurt.

and Gonzalez makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.

Sunaman dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Gonzalez. That did some damage!
Gonzalez shoots in and drives through. Sunaman sprawls well.

Gonzalez chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Sunaman can pounce on him.

Sansu Sunaman showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.


Gonzalez throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Sunaman's waist but Sunaman gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Gonzalez off to one side.

Sunaman can't find room to land a body shot as Gonzalez controls the action.
Gonzalez jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Sunaman walks away with a smile on his face. Gonzalez gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

Sunaman connects with a solid leg kick.
Sunaman goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

It looked like Gonzalez was trying to counter with a body shot coming off that last attack from Sunaman.
Sunaman dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Gonzalez. That did some damage!

Sansu Sunaman is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.
Crunch! Sunaman slams his shin into Gonzalez's torso.

Sansu Sunaman comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Sunaman has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
