PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Rob Evans (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jordan Breen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Rob Evans!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jordan Breen!
The judges for this bout are Wesley Smith, George Francis and Gwen Towbar.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Breen throws a chopping leg kick but Evans manages to avoid taking any serious damage.
Evans staying out of range there.
Breen changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Evans tries to avoid it but Breen manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Evans to the ground. Evans escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Breen uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Evans.
Breen misses with a hook. Evans ducked under it nicely.
Breen lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Breen.
Breen fails to land with a series of punches.
Breen tries to bum rush Evans with a series of wild strikes but Evans uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Breen tests Evans's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Breen should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.
Breen goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.
Evans on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.
Evans shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Breen but Breen pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Breen gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily

and Evans decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Breen's guard.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Evans is looking to work some ground and pound but Breen has wrist control.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Breen working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Evans.
Evans postures up and lands a big shot to Breen's brow.
Evans throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!

It looks like Jordan Breen has been cut.
Evans is looking to advance position but Breen has hit a scissor sweep - now he's on top in mount!
Breen trying to control but Evans is having none of it.
Evans flailing away with punches but nothing is landing.
Evans really trying hard to get back to half guard here.
Evans gets back to half guard.
Breen tries to stand but can't do so whilst Evans controls his leg.
Evans gets back to full guard.
Evans is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Evans bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Breen's guard.
Breen avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Evans's corner. There ya go! There ya go!
Breen wants to stand up but Evans is controlling him.
Evans trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Evans content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Evans stands and steps away. Breen gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Breen, as that shot connected.
No joy there for Breen, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Breen connects with a crisp jab.
Breen moves into range and connects with a jab.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Evans takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.
Breen throws a left and a right that both miss

and Evans counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Breen!
Breen is trying to escape but when you're mounted that's not too easy.
Breen looks gassed!
Evans fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!


That has opened up Jordan Breen's cut even more.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Jordan Breen's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Jordan Breen's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:45 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Cut). Rob Evans!
