Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mario Farina (ranked 824 p4p, 86 weight class) and Rich Silva Jr (ranked 1349 p4p, 147 weight class). Farina comes to the cage accompanied by Combichrist - Today I Woke to the Rain of Blood. Silva Jr is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Sleeping Giant. Mario Farina has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Rich Silva Jr!
The judges for this bout are , Jack Bonds and Frank Antenori.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Silva Jr misses with a jab to the body
and Farina connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Farina misses the shot to the body.
Farina looks to throw the jab but Silva Jr is out of range.
Farina misses with a looping left.
Silva Jr throws a right hand that misses
and Farina counters with a nice uppercut.
Farina tries to clinch but Silva Jr is having none of it.
Silva Jr misses with a straight left.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Silva Jr throws a predictable looking body shot
and Farina counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Silva Jr throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Farina on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.
That's one minute gone in the round.
A swing and a miss from Farina.
Silva Jr throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
A punch lands to the side of Silva Jr 's head but he takes it in his stride.
Farina cracks Silva Jr with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Farina has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Silva Jr to stand back up!
Silva Jr is rocked!
It looks like Rich Silva Jr has been cut.
Silva Jr throws a sloppy body shot
and Farina counters with a big left hand that crumples Silva Jr! He was out before he hit the floor! Brutal knockout!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:33 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Mario Farina!
Mario Farina retains his heavyweight title!
After winning the bout, Mario Farina thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
In defeat, Rich Silva Jr stepped up to the mic, saying 'Me hungry!'.
