PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Gin Kobra (ranked 4847 p4p, 477 weight class) and Tim Greene (ranked 6664 p4p, 567 weight class). Greene comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Back In Black kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Greene takes a body punch but keeps moving.
Greene looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!
Kobra throws a body kick that misses.

Greene moves into range and clinches up with Kobra.
Kobra is stalling here. The referee will be looking to step in if he doesn't pick up the pace.
Greene pushes off an throws an elbow but Kobra leans to the side and avoids it. We're back to clinching against the cage.
Kobra scores with a shoulder strike.
Kobra lands with a short punch from the clinch.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Greene can't get the takedown.
Greene jumps guard but Kobra turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.
Greene drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Kobra gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Gin Kobra has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Tim Greene.

Kobra wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.
Kobra digs a right hand underneath Greene's ribcage. Greene let out a lung full of air as it connected.
Kobra lands an uppercut.
Kobra has had enough of the clinch but Greene keeps him there for the moment.
Kobra tries to throw a body punch but Greene avoids it by throwing Kobra back against the cage.
Kobra is trying to force a seperation but Greene has the dominant position.

Kobra breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Kobra lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.
Greene looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Kobra lands a glancing blow to the side of Greene's head.
Kobra misses with a head kick.
Greene wants to counter the offense by Kobra and move into the clinch position.
Kobra scores to the head and body with a nice combination!
Kobra is looking light on his feet compared to last time was saw him fight.

Kobra looks for the body kick but Greene saw that one coming.
Horrible takedown attempt by Greene or perhaps it was just good defense by Kobra, which made it look bad.
Kobra misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Greene looks to clinch
and Kobra counters with a straight punch to the midsection.
Kobra scores with a one two! Greene had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.

Kobra stalks Greene and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Greene's face. Greene staggers backwards, shaken.
Kobra jabs at Greene's body.
Kobra scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.

Greene is rocked!

Kobra gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Greene is still on wobbly legs! Can Kobra finish him?
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Kobra wants to break free but Greene has control.
Kobra lands a nice shot to the body.
Greene seems to have recovered his senses.
Greene is trying to pull guard but Kobra has him pressed against the cage.
Kobra lands a right hand that snaps the head of Greene backwards.
Greene jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Kobra walks away with a smile on his face. Greene gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Danga de danga de dang - Kobra scores with a four punch combination!
Kobra lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
Kobra dips to his left and cracks Greene with an uppercut!
Greene wants to clinch but Kobra slips to the side
and Kobra counters with a series of strikes. Greene will be more careful next time no doubt.
Gin Kobra is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Kobra fakes a right and follows up with a big left that drops Greene to one knee - oooooh, he's wobbly! Greene looks to clinch but Kobra throws him off and pummels him into the canvas! Greene taps out under the strikes! The fight is over!

In his post fight interview, Gin Kobra started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
