The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Chinaski lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent.
McDonald slips a straight right by Chinaski.
McDonald feinted with a counter takedown.
Chinaski bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps McDonald's head backwards.
Chinaski throws a body punch but McDonald moves out of range.
Chinaski looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.

and McDonald counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Chinaski tries to bum rush McDonald with a series of wild strikes but McDonald uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
The fighters circling - Chinaski throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
McDonald appears to be looking for a big counter.

McDonald shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Chinaski's guard.

McDonald is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

A momentary lapse in concentration from Chinaski enables McDonald to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Chinaski manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
McDonald is standing up over Chinaski. Chinaski looks to escape but McDonald dives into side control.

A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.
McDonald wants to lay and pray for a moment but Chinaski keeps working.

McDonald walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
Chinaski takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.
Chinaski steps in with a hook that catches McDonald right on the chin and knocks him to the floor! Chinaski follows him down with more strikes and that's all she wrote! McDonald looks absolutely devastated.

Henry Chinaski decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
