The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Chen wants the takedown. Holt is fighting it off but Chen persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Holt's guard against the cage.

Holt postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Chen is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Holt, into his guard.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Holt's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.

Holt has had enough of the clinch but Chen keeps him there for the moment.

Chen is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Holt can't fight it off and eventually Chen manages to take the fight to the floor. Holt looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Holt is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Chen defends well.

Chen is stalling here. Holt is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Chen seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Holt has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Erwin Holt.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Holt, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
