Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Antonio Braga (ranked 7964 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rei Spears (ranked 5345 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Braga throws a combination that misses
and Spears counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Spears just misses with a punch to the body.
Nice takedown defense from Spears. No joy for Braga on that attempt.
Spears now looks to counter with a shot at the body.
Spears misses with a hook.
Braga went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected.

Braga shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Spears defends it nicely.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

It seemed like Spears was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.

It looks like Antonio Braga has been cut.
Braga shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Spears pinned against the cage. Spears gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Spears keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Braga darts in looking for a takedown but Spears gets double underhooks and turns Braga into the cage.
Braga is breathing heavily.

Spears lands a big uppercut and Braga crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but Braga looks OK. Spears waves Braga back to his feet!

Braga is rocked!
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Spears misses with a looping right.
Oh Braga is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Spears looks to land a left hand but Braga moved out of range nicely.
Braga seems to have got his legs back now.
Braga tries a head kick but it misses.
Braga dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Spears looks to throw the jab but Braga is out of range.
Spears scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard.
A combination from Spears does no damage.
Rei Spears is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Braga shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Spears defends it nicely.

Spears fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Braga manages to avoid it.

Braga really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Braga steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Spears.
Braga takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.
Spears lands with a right hand.
Spears cracks Braga on the jaw with a powerful right hand and Braga falls backwards against the cage. Spears follows up with more strikes that drop Braga to his knees. Spears keeps the pressure on and the referee jumps in to save Braga! This one is all over!

After winning the bout, Rei Spears thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
