PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Rei Francisco (ranked 4311 p4p, 0 weight class) and Howard Nimoy (ranked 5891 p4p, 0 weight class). Howard Nimoy told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Rei Francisco!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Howard Nimoy!
The judges for this bout are Peter Branson, Dirk Anderson and David Hoff.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Francisco keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.

It looks like Howard Nimoy has been cut.
Nimoy misses with a takedown
and Francisco counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Francisco lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent.
Nimoy doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Francisco, as that shot connected.

Nimoy is rocked!
Nimoy switches off momentarily and Francisco cracks him with a monster right hand! Nimoy topples backwards and makes a semi conscious attempt to cover up, as Francisco dives in to land one more shot, before the referee has time to call the fight. What a finish by Francisco!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:29 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Rei Francisco!
During a confident post fight interview, Rei Francisco thanked all his fans. He seemed very genuine when describing how motivated his fans keep him.
