Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mark Renton (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Leon Shred (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Renton's entrance music is A Small Victory. A fine choice. The crowd seem to be enjoying Shred's choice of entrance music: Swat by Brick and Lace. Mark Renton is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples... Tweaking his own nipples that is.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Shred fails with a takedown attempt.
Renton throws a half hearted mid kick.
Renton buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Some wild striking there from Renton.
Renton tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Shred tries for a takedown but Renton sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Renton lands a head shot.

Renton scores with a takedown into Shred's guard.
Renton forces his way into half guard.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Shred is trying to get back to full guard.
Renton trying to control from half guard but Shred is working away.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Renton connects with a nice short shot to Shred's temple.

Renton seems to be working for a kimura but Shred defends the submission attempt.
Shred is staying active underneath Renton, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

Shred manages to escape and get back to his feet!
Renton is looking to clinch.
Renton looks to land a combination but Shred avoids it well.

Shred fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Renton, pushing him back against the cage.
Shred drops down looking for an ankle pick but Renton pulls his leg out and moves away.
Mark Renton has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Leon Shred.

Renton wants to get back to striking at distance but Shred won't allow it.

Shred has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Renton is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Shred.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Shred cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!

Shred is landing with some decent strikes but Renton is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for leaving it all in the cage!

Renton gives up the full mount - oops, sloppy defensive grappling there!
Renton tries to reverse the position but Shred maintains control.

Shred goes for an armbar but he's not got it… Renton turns into him and now he's in Shred's guard.
Renton postures up from his opponent's guard, before exploding into some vicious ground and pound! Shred covers up, he's hurt! Renton keeps throwing the strikes, glancing at the referee... Will he stop it?? One more big shot from Renton and the ref steps in to end the fight! Renton can't hide his delight as he celebrates with his corner.
