Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Takada Kirazawa (ranked 3664 p4p, 425 weight class) and Jari Mela (ranked 8477 p4p, 710 weight class). Jari Mela struggled to make weight for this fight. He only made it down to 171.6lbs at the first attempt and had to take the additional two hours to make the official bout weight. The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Mela is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Mela really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Kirazawa. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Mela can do anything to dispel that myth.

Kirazawa has an Americana. Mela didn't react quickly enough there and he's in big trouble now! He tries to squirm out but is forced to tap! Kirazawa is delighted and gyrates in front of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if Kirazawa hooks up with any of them at the after show party.
