Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Adan Mendoza (ranked 25503 p4p, 0 weight class) and Brian Klint (ranked 9315 p4p, 0 weight class). The fight MMA fans around the world have waited their entire lives for!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Klint darts in looking for a takedown but Mendoza gets double underhooks and turns Klint into the cage.
Mendoza tries to check a leg kick but that clearly hurt him.

It looks like Adan Mendoza has been cut.

Mendoza tries to keep at a distance but Klint has taken the fight into the clinch.
Klint wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Mendoza has him pressed against the cage.

Klint gets control of Mendoza's arms and successfully pulls guard. Klint will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.

Mendoza drops back looking for a leg! Klint is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Klint manages to kick Mendoza off! Mendoza jumps back into Klint's guard.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Klint shoots in for a double leg but Mendoza sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

Adan Mendoza has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Brian Klint.

Klint fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Mendoza, pushing him back against the cage.

Klint jumps guard and drags Mendoza to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.

Klint is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Mendoza defends well.

Klint lands a head kick. Mendoza smiles back at him and beckons him forward.

My spies in Cozad MMA Sydney inform me that Klint has been getting involved in the gym's BJJ sparring sessions. Let's see whether that pays dividends!

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

The step up in weight doesn't seem to be a problem for Klint. He's performing admirably here against the bigger man.
Klint shoots in for a takedown but Mendoza shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

Well Klint has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
