Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Minkki Jakku (ranked 7454 p4p, 456 weight class) and Will Silva (ranked 25892 p4p, 537 weight class). Buckle up people - heeeeeeeeeere we go!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Minkki Jakku!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Will Silva!
The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, Alan Glass and Tiny Johnson.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Jakku has closed the distance and engaged Silva in a clinch.
Silva is trying to break free.
Jakku slowing the pace effectively.
Jakku keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Silva's efforts to push away.

Jakku pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Silva sizes up Jakku with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.

Jakku fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Silva sprawls well initially but Jakku persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Jakku is figuring out what he wants to do next.
Jakku seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Silva for as long as he can get away with.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Jakku is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Silva has managed to free his arm - good work.
Silva is looking for a sweep. Jakku is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

Jakku wants to pass the guard but Silva is defending well.

Jakku is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Silva is just riding it out for now. Jakku eventually gives up the hold.
Jakku wants to free his trapped foot but Silva is holding on for dear life with his legs.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Silva can do anything to dispel that myth.
Silva is looking to get back to full guard here but Jakku has managed to pass to side control instead.

Jakku decides to stand up, so the ref orders Silva to his feet.
Silva wants to clinch up but Jakku keeps it at a distance.
Jakku is trying to close the distance and clinch up, after that failed offence from Silva.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Silva rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Jakku moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Silva throws a leg kick but Jakku sees it coming and checks it nicely.

Jakku decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Jakku is taking a breather. Silva says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.

Jakku stands, ready to strike. The ref makes him back up and allows Silva to get to his feet.

Jakku shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Jakku decides to stand up and try his luck on the feet.

A jab-cross combination lands for Silva and sends Jakku crashing to the mat! Silva follows him down to the mat - Jakku regains half guard but he's not out of trouble yet!

It looks like Minkki Jakku has been cut.
Jakku is pressing down on Silva's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.
Jakku pulls Silva in to control the position.
Jakku lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Jakku controls from within his opponent's guard.

Jakku thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Jakku is stalling in the full guard.
Jakku works a leg free and moves into half guard.
Silva tries to roll over but Jakku keeps him under control.

Jakku is looking for a kimura here.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Jakku is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.

Jakku seems like he's working for an arm triangle here. He's freed his trapped foot and he's rotating nicely. Silva is in big trouble! He's tapping out! This one is aaaaaaaaaaaall over!
