Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, David Bush!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Johnny Spiro!
The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, Stewart Dunkirk and Chris Downing.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Spiro fails to land the takedown.

Spiro gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Bush tries to free his leg and advance position but Spiro is retaining full guard.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.

Bush looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Bush decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.

Spiro is using up a lot of energy trying to get back to his feet. Perhaps he should improve his position first.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

and Bush decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Spiro's guard.

Bush is pressing down on Spiro's thigh, looking to free his foot. Spiro is holding on for now.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Bush seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Spiro does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Spiro has hold of Bush's hands but Bush slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.

Bush is looking for a sweep. Spiro is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Spiro breaks from Bush's wrist control and lands an elbow.
Spiro trying to control but Bush is having none of it.
Bush is wriggling around trying to escape.

Bush defends a decent attempt at a guillotine from Spiro.
Bush is trying desperately to improve position.
Spiro wants to control the pace but Bush is squirming around nicely.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!

Spiro parries the strikes from Bush easily there. Bush is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Spiro to escape.

Spiro manages to work his way to half guard, despite Bush's best efforts.
Spiro wants to control but Bush is keeping busy.

Bush is in close to Spiro's body, working some short punches and elbows.
Spiro manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Bush manages to get himself to full guard.
Spiro has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Bush is proving hard to escape from.

David Bush has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Johnny Spiro.

Bush drops back looking for a leg! Spiro is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Spiro manages to kick Bush off! Bush jumps back into Spiro's guard.
Bush stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Spiro swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Spiro manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
Spiro trying to control but Bush is having none of it.
Bush is trying to escape the mount.
Spiro manages to capitalize on a mistake by Bush to take his back!

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
You can see the frustration on Bush's face… He knows he is in trouble unless he improves his position sooner rather than later.
Well, with Spiro on his back, surely it's only a matter of time before Bush is tapping out... Can he escape the position?

Bush breaks Spiro's hooks off and manages to turn into his guard.

David Bush showed his dominance in that final round.
Well Bush has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
