Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Carlos Anderson (ranked 5534 p4p, 605 weight class) and Herbert Fliegknecht (ranked 8827 p4p, 773 weight class). Anderson kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Everyday Bro-Team 10. Carlos Anderson had a look across the cage there at his opponent. He definitely means business

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Herbert Fliegknecht!
The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, and Jack Bonds.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fliegknecht takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.

Fliegknecht moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.

Anderson stalks Fliegknecht and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Fliegknecht's face. Fliegknecht staggers backwards, shaken.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Anderson is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Fliegknecht is defending well.

Anderson has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Fliegknecht is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Anderson.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Carlos Anderson.

After the fight, Carlos Anderson was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
