Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Anfernee Jeremiah Booker (ranked 2020 p4p, 209 weight class) and Johnny Johnston (ranked 1469 p4p, 153 weight class). Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Anfernee Jeremiah Booker!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Johnny Johnston!
The judges for this bout are Roosa Järviläinen, Ben Zyskovitsi and Arvi Lind.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Johnston closes the distance but Booker moves to the side
and Booker connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.


It looks like Johnny Johnston has been cut.
Johnston throws a right hand that misses
and Booker counters with a nice uppercut.
Johnston dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Booker takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Johnston bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Johnston scores with a sloppy right hand. Booker should have avoided that one.
Booker takes a swing at Johnston's ribcage but misses.

Booker gets tackled into the ropes by Johnston. Johnston maintains the clinch.

Booker is leaning against Johnston and scores with a nice uppercut to the body.
Good anti-grappling being displayed by Booker as Johnston tries to tie him up.
With the fighters clinched against the ropes, Booker creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.

Booker breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Booker misses with a jab to the body
and Johnston counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Booker doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
The fighters circling - Johnston throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Johnston tries to clinch up.
Johnston swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Johnston scores with a hook to the body. Booker takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.

Johnston lands with a cross.
Johnston is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Johnston connects with a body shot that sends Booker's belly button to the back.
Johnston throws a hook but Booker blocks it.
Johnston fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Johnston swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Booker tried to counter with a leg kick but Johnston avoided it.
Johnston is throwing a lot of body shots here, looking to wear down Booker rather than just go for the knockout.

Johnston throws a low kick but Booker avoids it.
Booker appears to be looking for a counter punch to the body.
Booker looks to land a right hand but Johnston moved out of range.
Nice defenses there by Booker.
Booker swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect.
Johnston rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
enabling Booker to counter with a crisp jab.

and Booker counters with a left to the body.

Johnston closes the distance and clinches.
I was talking to Booker's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight.
Booker has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.
Booker lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Johnston backwards.
Booker struggles to land a body shot inside as Johnston controls his hands.
Booker throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Johnstons head.
Johnston digs a right hand underneath Booker's ribcage. Booker let out a lung full of air as it connected.
Booker is breathing heavily.

That's four minutes gone in the round.

Booker breaks from the clinch.
Johnston misses with an uppercut. Booker saw that one coming.
An attempted straight right counter from Booker misses the target.
Booker misses with a lunging right hand
and Johnston counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Booker takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
A jab from Johnston does it's job there.
Johnston comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Booker takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.
Johnston dips down and scores with a jab to the body.

Johnston cracks Booker with a big right hand and Booker goes down!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Johnny Johnston dominated that round.
The cut man is working on Johnny Johnston's cut.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the ring so we can get back down to business.


Johnston drops Booker with a straight right hand, right on the button! Johnston follows him down to the mat and pounds him out with hammerfists until the referee jumps in to end the fight!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:05 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Johnny Johnston!
Johnny Johnston seemed lost for words in his post fight interview but he remembered to thank his fans and directed everyone to his website.
