Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Gary Anderson (ranked 6593 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dre Dogg (ranked 4841 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Dre Dogg!
The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Timothy Bukovac and Jack Bonds.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dogg tries to close the distance and clinch up but Anderson swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Anderson tries to counter by moving into the clinch but Dogg manages to circle out of the way.

Anderson closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Dogg quickly recovers to half guard.
Anderson tries to stand and escape but Dogg is controlling the position.
Anderson prevents Dogg from improving his position.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Anderson takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.

Anderson sneaks out the side door and pushes Dogg away - he's back to his feet. The crowd show their appreciation for the escape.

Anderson dives in and grabs Dogg's left leg, looking for a takedown. Dogg pushes down on Anderson's head and hops out.

Dogg is looking to stand back up... there's a bit of a scramble and Anderson dives into side control.

Anderson content to control the pace. The referee will try and keep them active though.
Anderson is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Dogg can do to turn this around?

Sloppy strikes from Dogg. Those never looked like landing.
Anderson scores with a head kick. Dogg tried to block it but didn't get his arm up in time.
Dogg darts in looking for a takedown but Anderson gets double underhooks and turns Dogg into the cage.
Gary Anderson has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Dre Dogg.

Anderson feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Anderson shoots for a takedown but Dogg saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Anderson shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Dogg as he jumps to the side.

Dogg ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
Dogg tries to clinch there but Anderson circles away.
Anderson seem to be loading up, looking for a big counter.

Anderson drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Dogg is looking to get back to his feet here but Anderson is keeping cool and he's managed to take Dogg's back.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
