PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Hoshi Tanaka (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Andy Jefry (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Andy Jefry told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Andy Jefry!
The judges for this bout are Sosuke Kotani, Shirou Masuda and Yasuomi Hirokawa.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jefry tries to close the distance and clinch up but Tanaka swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Jefry tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.

Jefry fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Tanaka sprawls well initially but Jefry persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Tanaka tries to get to full guard but Jefry has control of the leg.
Jefry wants to lay and pray for a moment but Tanaka keeps working.
Tanaka is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Jefry's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Jefry's back!

Tanaka working from the back looking to end the fight with a rear naked choke. Jefry is doing well to defend. Tanaka seems to have got his hand under the chin though and he's sunk the choke in! Jefry is forced to tap and this one is over!
