Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hudson misses with a takedown attempt
and Masey makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.

Hudson tries to sprawl but Masey drives through with a takedown into half guard.
Masey is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.
It looks like Masey might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.
Hudson is trying to control but can't.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Hudson moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Masey controlling from the top position.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Masey drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Masey is in close to Hudson's body, working some short punches and elbows.

Masey is working Hudson over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.
Hudson could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Hudson can't keep his opponent in guard - Masey advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.

Masey wants to work for an arm triangle but Hudson is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Masey uses his free foot to push down on Hudson's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Hudson.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Hudson is defending well here and trying to improve his position.
Masey has the hooks sunk in and you can see the will to fight slowly draining out of Hudson's body.

Masey is punishing Hudson with some ground and pound.
You know, I was talking to some of our celebrities at ringside tonight and they were split right down the middle on who was going to win this fight.

I really don't envy Hudson right now.

Hudson bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Masey's guard.

Masey manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Hudson manages to get himself to full guard.

Masey is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Masey seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.

Dillon Masey showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Well Masey has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
