Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hull throws a head kick but Makela moves out of range.

Makela gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.

Hull jumps guard and drags Makela to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.
Makela wants to pass the guard but Hull is keeping the position.
Makela sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Hull's guard.
Makela keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Makela connects with a nice short shot to Hull's temple.
Hull is controlling Makela's position as best he can from this difficult position.
Makela working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Hull is refusing to be controlled, as Makela sits in half guard.
Makela lands with a punch from half guard.

Makela is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Hull defends it well.
Hull regains full guard, whilst avoiding punches from Makela.

Hull preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.

Hull is trying to keep Makela in close.
Hull wants to get back to his feet but Makela is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Hull knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Makela on the ground.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.

Makela wants to control from the top but Hull keeps moving.
Makela scores with a decent looking elbow strike.
Makela passes into half guard.
Hull is positioning himself well to prevent Makela advancing to mount.
Makela throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
Makela lands strikes from half guard.

Makela is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Hull doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Makela.

Hull trying to control but Makela postures up.
Hull wants to get back to his feet.
Makela not doing much here.
Makela thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Hull's head.
Makela trying to mount his opponent but Hull defends it.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Hull wants to control but Makela passes into side.
Makela lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Hull down.

Makela is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Hull is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
Hull wants to get back to his feet but Makela is dominant here and he's now got Hull's back!
Hull trying to control the hands but Makela won't let him.

Hull is trying to defend against the choke here but Makela has an arm under his chin. This one might not last much longer. Makela Tightens the hold and Hull taps out furiously! Makela displays superior BJJ to win the fight.
