The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Alvarado takes a swing at Redcliffe's ribcage but misses.
Redcliffe shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Alvarado defends it nicely.
Redcliffe keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Redcliffe misses with a combination
and Alvarado counters with a left to the body.
Redcliffe fails with a takedown attempt.
Donk. Alvarado catches Redcliffe right on the button with a cross.
Redcliffe takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Alvarado throws a nice looking combination but Redcliffe bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Redcliffe shoots in looking for a takedown but Alvarado manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Redcliffe's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

Redcliffe tries to score a power double leg takedown but Alvarado sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Redcliffe somewhat.

and Redcliffe counters by moving into the clinch.
Alvarado has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.
Redcliffe lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage.
A frustrated look appears on Alvarado's face as he tries to break the clinch.

Redcliffe escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Redcliffe closes the distance and pushes Alvarado back into the cage.
Redcliffe is working for takedown but Alvarado is calmly controlling the position for now.
Alvarado is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches.
Redcliffe drops down looking for an ankle pick but Alvarado pulls his leg out and moves away.

Redcliffe looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Alvarado is fending him off so far but Redcliffe persists. Nope, Alvarado circles away and we're back to standing.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Redcliffe breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Alvarado rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Redcliffe moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

Redcliffe clinches with his opponent.
Redcliffe will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Alvarado up against the cage.
Alvarado is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage.
Redcliffe's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's time! Alvarado's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

Redcliffe tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Alvarado smiles and moves away.
Redcliffe takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Alvarado is using his reach advantage well here, landing the more effective single shots from range.
Alvarado scores with the left hand. Redcliffe knows he should have avoided that one.
Redcliffe misses with a takedown attempt - Alvarado sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Alvarado thuds his right hand into Redcliffe's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
Alvarado jabs. That one connects to the head of his opponent.

Redcliffe dives in and grabs Alvarado's left leg, looking for a takedown. Alvarado pushes down on Redcliffe's head and hops out.

Alvarado drops Redcliffe with a beautiful combination! Redcliffe stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Alvarado is looking for the KO!
Redcliffe is still on wobbly legs! Can Alvarado finish him?
Alvarado misses with a kick to the body.
Redcliffe on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot.
Redcliffe is breathing heavily.
Redcliffe takes a body punch but keeps moving.
Alvarado wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Crack! Alvarado connects with the perfect overhand right and Redcliffe falls face first to the canvas. Timbeeeeeeeer! Beautiful knockout for Alvarado!
