The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Stevenson tries to move into range but Abboud moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.
Abboud throws a series of punches but Stevenson avoids them all with ease.
A punch combination from Abboud misses.

Abboud clinches.
Good anti-grappling being displayed by Abboud as Stevenson tries to tie him up.
A frustrated look appears on Abboud's face as he tries to break the clinch.
Stevenson is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Abboud to keep the fight standing.

Stevenson breaks the clinch.
Abboud lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Stevenson circles away quickly and effectively.
As Abboud tries to get set, Stevenson tries to push him back and clinch up but Abboud manages to avoid the attempt.
Stevenson looks for a takedown but Abboud sprawls well.
Abboud changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Sloppy strikes from Abboud. Those never looked like landing.
Stevenson tries to counter by clinching up but Abboud breaks away and moves out of range.
Abboud misses with a series of wild punches.

Abboud darts in and clinches Stevenson up against the cage.
Stevenson lands with a right to the head.
Stevenson could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

Stevenson tries to keep at a distance but Abboud has taken the fight into the clinch.

Stevenson pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Abboud lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.

It looks like Chase Stevenson has been cut.
Stevenson has his takedown stuffed
enabling Abboud to counter with a crisp jab.

Stevenson shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Abboud as he avoids it easily.

Stevenson loses concentration momentarily and Abboud pounces with a three punch combo! Right, left, right! Stevenson crashes face first to the mat, out cold! Abboud finishes this one with a fantastically precise combo! Great stuff.
