Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between George Allen (ranked 2007 p4p, 256 weight class) and Evan Glascoe (ranked 4071 p4p, 452 weight class). George Allen has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, George Allen!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Evan Glascoe!
The judges for this bout are Dmitry Maklakov, Aleksei Zolotukhin and Igor Prikhodko.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Allen throws a low kick but it's checked well by Glascoe.
Glascoe looks like he wants to counter punch here.
We've been told by Allen's head coaches at Wild Card that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
Allen tries a low kick but Glascoe avoids it.
Glascoe now looks to counter with a shot at the body.

Glascoe looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Allen is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

Glascoe is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Allen sees it coming and defends easily.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Allen is doing well to avoid being mounted. He's controlling the position at the moment.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
The referee calls for the fighters to work.

Glascoe is figuring out what he wants to do next.

Glascoe is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Allen has managed to free his arm - good work.
Allen has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Glascoe is working away from the top position though.
Allen tries to roll over but Glascoe keeps him under control.

Glascoe missing with some ground and pound from the half guard.
Glascoe lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Glascoe tries to pass to full mount but Allen defends it.
Glascoe looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.

Glascoe is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Allen is just riding it out for now. Glascoe eventually gives up the hold.
Glascoe has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Evan Glascoe dominated that round.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!


Allen is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Glascoe.
Glascoe has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Glascoe lands with a cross.


It looks like George Allen has been cut.
Glascoe has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Allen is landing a low percentage of strikes.

Glascoe gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
enabling Allen to counter with a crisp jab.


It looks like Evan Glascoe has been cut.

Allen throws a hook to the side of Glascoe's head but Glascoe sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Glascoe changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt.

and Allen counters with a crisp one two that drops Glascoe! Allen thinks about following him to the mat for a moment but instead steps back and waves Glascoe to his feet! Glascoe is in big trouble!

Glascoe swings and misses with a shot to the body
and Allen counters with an inside leg kick.
Glascoe is still on wobbly legs! Can Allen finish him?
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Glascoe leaves his chin hanging out and Allen seizes the opportunity with an uppercut! Glascoe crumbles to the floor in a heap! The referee steps in and tends to the downed fighter! What a knockout!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:51 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). George Allen!
George Allen decided to thank the fans in attendance for making a great atmosphere. It seemed to go down pretty well.
