Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jimmy Ryan (ranked 310 p4p, 42 weight class) and Hero Galanos (ranked 314 p4p, 43 weight class). Ryan's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, The Animals - House of the Rising Sun. Galanos has chosen oh boy, he's walking out in gladiator trunks as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

16 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Jimmy Ryan!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

12 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Hero Galanos!
The judges for this bout are Colin Fray, Roger Salmon and Chris Saunders.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Galanos has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Ryan.
Ryan throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Galanos counters with a straight right hand.
Galanos throws out a loose jab but Ryan uses good head movement to avoid it.
Ryan moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot.
An inside leg kick lands from Ryan.
Ryan pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
Ryan tries to score with a leg kick but it misses it's target.
Ryan throws a push kick but Galanos slaps the foot to one side.
A right-left combo lands from Ryan.
Galanos slips under a jab.
Ryan loads up on a big right hand but Galanos slips the punch.
Galanos throws a poor cross that misses
and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Ryan looking to land some kicks to the body here.
Galanos doesn't fully commit to the body shot counter.
Ryan connects with an inside leg kick.
Galanos slips under a jab.
Galanos tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Ryan manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Galanos has done a lot of speed work in the buildup to this fight.
Ryan clobbers Galanos with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
Galanos defending well as Ryan loads up on a big left hand.
Galanos pivots, looking for a leg kick but Ryan is out of range and Galanos settles back down.
Ryan cracks Galanos with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.
Galanos is rocked!
Jimmy Ryan seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Ryan seems to be stalking Galanos here. He circles momentarily and then unleashes a devastating head kick! Galanos drops like a stone, out cold! WOW! Are you kidding me!? What a knockout!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:56 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Head Kick). Jimmy Ryan!
