Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

4 - 13 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Sam Malone!
The judges for this bout are Aleksei Zolotukhin, Viktor Lagutenko and Valeri Chadov.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Malone throws a lazy right hand but Mercer sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Malone gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Mercer.
Mercer throws a series of punches but Malone avoids them all with ease.
Mercer takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Mercer uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Malone.
Malone keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Mercer.
Malone cracks Mercer with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.
Malone misses with a right hand
and Mercer counters with a straight right hand.
Malone lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
Mercer motions for Malone to come forward. Mercer throws a leg kick but it misses it's target.
Mercer lands a nice shot to the body.
The crowd cheers as Mercer lands an impressive looking overhand right. Malone doesn't seem phased though.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Malone throws a wild hook but Mercer just manages to duck under it and - ooooh! Malone gets nailed by a brutal uppercut which crumples him back against the cage! The referee jumps in - Mercer raises his hands in celebration and walks away!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:49 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Clay Mercer!
Clay Mercer was full of energy after the big win and talked about how he thinks he can do big things in this sport. The crowd were appreciative of his determination to succeed.
