Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Vaughn Dickson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Susie Cambell!
The judges for this bout are Tarja Halkonen, Arvi Lind and Anni Minnemäki.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A slapping leg kick lands for Cambell.

Dickson bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Cambell can't do much from the bottom here.
The referee asks Dickson politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Dickson prefers to stall for the moment though.
Dickson has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
Cambell looks to move to half guard but instead Dickson has passed into mount! Damn!
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Dickson pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.
Cambell regains half guard.
Dickson seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.
Dickson seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.
Cambell tries to roll over but Dickson keeps him under control.

Well, if Dickson is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Dickson is taking a breather. Cambell says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
Dickson really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.

Cambell shoots in and bounces Dickson off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.

Dickson working for submissions but it's allowed Cambell to get to half guard.

Cambell is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Dickson is just riding it out for now. Cambell eventually gives up the hold.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Cambell seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Dickson does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Dickson kicks off Cambell and gets to his feet.
Cambell shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Dickson eats them both and turns towards Cambell to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Cambell throws the left hand but Dickson avoids the punch easily.

Cambell drives through with a takedown into guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Susie Cambell will probably get the nod.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.



Cambell fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Dickson sprawls well initially but Cambell persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

Cambell trying to stand up but can't free himself from Dickson's guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Dickson has thrown up a leg looking for a triangle. Cambell doesn't defend quickly enough and Dickson has managed to lock this one up! Can Cambell escape?! NO! He's tapping out! Damn, that was a quick submission - congrats to Dickson on a fantastic submission victory.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:58 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle). Vaughn Dickson!
