The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A jab from Hioko misses.
Morimune misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Morimune moves out of range of the strikes.
Hioko swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Hioko clobbers Morimune with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
Hioko misses the shot to the body.
Hioko misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Morimune.
Morimune misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Hioko misses the jab.

Hioko gets caught flat footed, as Morimune shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Hioko wants to get back to his feet but Morimune is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.
Morimune prevents Hioko from getting back to his feet.
Morimune trying to control but Hioko is working from the bottom.
Morimune stops Hioko from standing up.
Morimune wants to control from the top but Hioko keeps moving.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Hioko scores with a kick to the body.

Hioko throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Asaki Hioko is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Morimune looks to land a right hand but Hioko moved out of range.
Morimune connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Hioko's hands.
Morimune avoids a punch combination nicely.
Hioko scores with a hook to the body. Morimune takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
Morimune looks gassed!

Hioko swings for the body but Morimune moves out of range.

Morimune takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.

Hioko throws a shot to the body.
Hioko grits his teeth and throws a big right-left combo! Morimune takes both shots clean on the chin and is out cold! Hioko cracks him once more on his way down, as the crowd goes wild! They enjoyed that one!
