Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Tony Lopez (ranked 4562 p4p, 405 weight class) and Kondo Zhan (ranked 4428 p4p, 399 weight class). Tony Lopez could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Kondo Zhan's chin.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Donk. Zhan catches Lopez right on the button with a cross.
Lopez takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Zhan getting the better of the striking in that exchange.
Zhan looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Lopez shoots for a double leg takedown but Zhan sprawls well. He's pushed Lopez's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Zhan keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Zhan throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Lopez stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.

Zhan might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable.

Kondo Zhan seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Lopez looks like he's developed a pretty tasty lump over his left eye. He'll need to avoid taking much more damage to that.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Zhan, as that shot connected.

A jab from Zhan does it's job there.
Lopez shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Zhan pinned against the cage. Zhan gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Zhan connects with a nice looking jab.
Lopez shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Zhan sprawls well. Zhan wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Lopez gets slowly back to his feet.
The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Kondo Zhan dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Zhan fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Lopez looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.

Oh Lopez is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Lopez walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
Zhan thuds a left hand into Lopez's body.

and Zhan counters with a stiff right hand.

Zhan comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Zhan pounces like a tiger and cracks Lopez with a vicious hook! Lopez is down but not out! Zhan follows up with more strikes forcing the ref to jump in and stop it!
