Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Lucien Rodriguez!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Greg Shaw!
The judges for this bout are Wagner Zegers, Aafke Stam and Daniel Blasius.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Shaw gets a clinch.

Shaw breaks from the clinch.
Rodriguez is looking to clinch but Shaw is avoiding it.
Rodriguez tries to close the distance and clinch up but Shaw swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Shaw throws out a leg kick but Rodriguez moves out of range and Shaw only half commits.
Rodriguez half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range.
Shaw throws a chopping leg kick but Rodriguez manages to avoid taking any serious damage.
Shaw walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Rodriguez checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.
Shaw cracks Rodriguez with an open hand slap.


It looks like Lucien Rodriguez has been cut.
Shaw swats away the attempt to clinch by Rodriguez.
Rodriguez really is a fat lump.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Shaw misses with a body shot.
Rodriguez half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range.
A left and a right from Shaw both land. Nice combination.
Shaw tries to land a leg kick but Rodriguez saw it coming and moves away.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Rodriguez gets in close and instigates a clinch.

Shaw breaks from the clinch.
Shaw throws a combination that misses
and Rodriguez counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Shaw rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Rodriguez moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
An attempted straight right counter from Rodriguez misses the target.
Shaw keeps the fight on the outside.
Shaw throws out a leg kick but Rodriguez moves out of range and Shaw only half commits.

Shaw closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Rodriguez has had enough of the clinch but Shaw keeps him there for the moment.

Shaw escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Rodriguez tries to clinch but Shaw is having none of it.
Rodriguez takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
The fighters circle momentarily. Shaw darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Rodriguez wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:15 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Greg Shaw!
After winning the bout, Greg Shaw thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
