The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Meredith has closed the distance and engaged Stack in a clinch.

Stack drops back looking for a leg! Meredith is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Meredith manages to kick Stack off! Stack jumps back into Meredith's guard.

Stack seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Meredith does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Meredith jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Stack manages to avoid the submission attempt.

Meredith goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Stack has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Meredith but great work by Stack.

Stack is working to tighten is grip on Meredith's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Meredith has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Stack is really squeezing tight and eventually Meredith passes out! Stack breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!
