Dekkkers will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Vegas has closed the distance and engaged Dekkkers in a clinch.
Vegas gets control of Dekkkers's arms and successfully pulls guard. Vegas will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.
Vegas has his foot on Dekkkers's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Dekkkers works his way back into a safe position though.
Dekkkers tries to free his leg and advance position but Vegas is retaining full guard.
Dekkkers must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Dekkkers is trying to tuck his arms in to keep them safe but Vegas has managed to isolate one of them and has got a loose triangle. Dekkkers is looking to defend but Vegas has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for Dekkkers! Vegas pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, Dekkkers taps out and this one is all over!
