Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Boyko Kersikov (ranked 4497 p4p, 212 weight class) and Tyrone Badass (ranked 4845 p4p, 234 weight class). Badass is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Straight to Hell. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kersikov leaves Badass with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

We've been informed that Badass has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result.

Kersikov has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
Badass tries to lock up and control but Kersikov gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
Kersikov takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
Badass is looking to improve his position but Kersikov isn't that keen on the idea.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Kersikov seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Badass for as long as he can get away with.

The referee is keeping an eye on Kersikov - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Boyko Kersikov.
Well Kersikov has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
