Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Buzz Lightbeer (ranked 6180 p4p, 685 weight class) and Leandro Jones (ranked 3916 p4p, 485 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 17 - 18 - 2, fighting out of Las Vegas, Leandro Jones!
The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, Frank Dennis and Wesley Smith.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jones looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.

Jones fails with an attempt to clinch.
Jones scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one.
Jones takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Jones looks like he wanted to counter with a high kick but didn't throw it.
Leandro Jones seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Jones shoots in and drives through. Lightbeer sprawls well.
Lightbeer is looking to counter with head kicks.
We've been informed that Jones has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result.

Lightbeer lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Lightbeer enables Jones to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Lightbeer manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.

Jones drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Jones jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Jones shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Lightbeer sprawls well. Lightbeer wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Jones gets slowly back to his feet.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Jones feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Lightbeer throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.

Lightbeer connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.
Lightbeer is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Jones.
Jones throws a counter combo.
Lightbeer lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.

and Lightbeer counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
The fight stays on the outside here - Jones looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Jones lands a high kick to the side of Lightbeer's head that stuns him and send him tumbling down to the canvas! Jones dives into guard, looking to finish.

Lightbeer wants to stand and escape but Jones is having none of it.

Lightbeer has managed to wall walk up one of the corner posts to get back to his feet. Jones is pushing him up against the cage, looking to control the position.

With the fighters clinched against the cage, Jones creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.

Jones is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Lightbeer is defending well for now.

Jones circles to his right before unloading a perfect head kick! Lightbeer drops to the canvas, hurt badly! Jones follows Lightbeer to the ground and unloads with a series of strikes that force the referee to step in and end the fight! This one is all over!
