Coming up we have a light heavyweight kickboxing rules bout between Saiyan Southbrook (ranked 4592 p4p, 593 weight class) and Abidemi Afolayan (ranked 5370 p4p, 652 weight class). Saiyan Southbrook has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Afolayan avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Southbrook blocks a jab.
Afolayan misses with an uppercut.

Afolayan tries to close the distance and clinch but Southbrook swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Southbrook appears to be looking for a counter punch to the body.
Southbrook throws a looping overhand right but Afolayan ducks down to avoid it.

Afolayan moves forwards but Southbrook connects with a nice, crisp jab.

Afolayan has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

With the fighters clinched against the ropes, Southbrook creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.

Afolayan throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Southbrook blocks it with crossed arms.

The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Southbrook wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.

Afolayan appeared to try and counter that last move with a leg kick.

Southbrook's jab looks to have found its range, popping Afolayan under the eye.

Southbrook lands a nice hook to Afolayan's body. Afolayan takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.

Saiyan Southbrook seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Southbrook closes the distance and catches Afolayan with a lead hook that drops him to the canvas! Afolayan is clearly dazed and struggling here! 3,4,5,6,7 and Afolayan is up to his feet but the referee has called it off! Afolayan is still far too wobbly and he's not going to allow the fight to continue! Southbrook takes it!
