The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Horrible takedown attempt by Lewis or perhaps it was just good defense by Podarov, which made it look bad.
James Lewis seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Lewis has managed to clinch.
Podarov has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Lewis avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.
Podarov turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Podarov manages to end up in side control.
Lewis wants to control but Podarov postures up.
Podarov tries to advance to mount but can't.
Lewis tries to get back to half guard but can't.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Podarov moving around in side mount but really he's just happy to control for now.
Lewis is positioning himself to get back to half guard.

Podarov tries to stand but Lewis is controlling his head.
Lewis is trying to escape the position but Podarov is controlling the position.
Lewis wants to get back to his feet but Podarov drags him back down.
Podarov tries for a kimura but Lewis is defending well.
Lewis is looking to reverse the position.
Podarov moves into full mount!
Lewis is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.

Podarov controlling the position easily from mount.
Podarov's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.
Podarov works his way to his opponent's back.
A bit of a pause in the action here. Podarov controlling the positon.
Podarov has got one arm under Lewis's chin. This could be trouble... Lewis trying to control the other hand but Podarov gets it free and sqeezes tight - just a matter of time now! Yep, Lewis has tapped out! The fight is over!
