The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Harrell moves in looking to clinch but Ofique pushes him off.
A left lands for Ofique.

It looks like Santiago Harrell has been cut.

Ofique closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Harrell quickly recovers to half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Ofique is looking to take a break and control but Harrell is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Harrell wants to get back to his feet but Ofique is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

Ofique must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Harrell manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Ofique manages to get himself to full guard.

Harrell ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Harrell no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Harrell is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control.
Harrell bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Ofique's guard.

Harrell postures up and lands some nice ground and pound.
Harrell slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Ofique can do anything to dispel that myth.
