Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Chicken Soup (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jackson Lake (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Lake's choice of entrance music: The Gears. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Chicken Soup! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Jackson Lake! The judges for this bout are Chad Campbell, Eddie Farnsworth and Lou da Vinci.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Lake feints and as Soup raises his hands in defense, Lake changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. Soup is trying to keep Lake in close.
Lake drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Lake jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Lake advances to half guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Soup is defending against the submission attempts here by Lake.
Soup is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Lake is looking for a kimura but Soup is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Lake to get the leverage. Soup punching from the bottom.
Soup is trying to control but can't.
Soup tries to get to full guard but Lake has control of the leg. Lake is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
That's one minute gone in the round. Soup wants to control but Lake is keeping busy.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Soup shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Lake counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Lake. Soup knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Lake on the ground. Lake is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Lake looks gassed! Lake won't allow Soup to sweep him here. Lake wants to control from the top but Soup keeps moving. Soup wants to sweep but no luck. Soup striking from his own guard. Soup is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Soup looking for a sweep. Not yet Soup, not yet.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Soup doesn't succeed with the takedown and Lake counters with a takedown into side control. Lake decides to stand back up. Lake doesn't succeed with the takedown so Soup counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Soup trying to control the position from guard on top but Lake is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Lake has a butterfly guard looking to sweep but Soup has passed into side control.
Lake seems a little lost for a moment, as Soup dominates the positioning.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Lake tries to get back to half guard but can't. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Soup trying to control the action but Lake is working from the bottom. Lake is trying to improve his position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Soup tries to move into full mount but can't pass Lake's legs. Soup in side control lands a decent elbow. Lake wants to get back to his feet but Soup drags him back down.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Lake pivots, looking for a leg kick but Soup is out of range and Lake settles back down. Soup tries to clinch up so Lake counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. Soup on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Soup tries to get out of the position. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Soup trying to strike from the bottom but really, it's not the best position to be doing that from! Soup controls Lake momentarily but Lake frees himself. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Jackson Lake dominated that round. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Soup shoots in looking for a takedown. Lake tries to sprawl out of it but Soup keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Lake manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Soup shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat. Lake is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Lake working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Soup doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Soup manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Jackson Lake has got the better of the ground game so far. Lake escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Soup gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Lake is breathing heavily. Hammerfist, elbow! yells Soup's corner. There ya go! There ya go!
That's one minute gone in the round. Soup trying to control the position from guard on top but Lake is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Soup stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Lake swivels though and keeps the full guard. Lake wants to stand but Soup is controlling the position. Soup trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Soup content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots. Lake can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Soup controls the pace. Soup looking to pass the guard. Lake throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
That's two minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Lake is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Soup postures up and lands a big shot to Lake's brow. Lake looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Soup is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control. Lake is looking for a triangle but Soup pushes his legs off easily.
Soup stands up over Lake, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head. Lake had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Soup is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Lake Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Soup's back instead. Lake controlling well, preventing Soup from escaping the position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Lake avoiding Soup 's attempts to control his hands. Soup tries to escape the position.
Lake is looking to finish the fight by rear naked choke. Soup knows exactly what he's got planned though, so he's defending well. Maybe a few strikes would soften Soup for a finish. Soup tries to escape the position - he's now mounted. Is that better or worse? Hard to tell! Soup is trying to escape the mount.
Soup tries to hold on but Lake pushes him away.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Soup is looking to improve his position but Lake isn't that keen on the idea. Soup is working hard here to advance position. Lake has hold of Soup's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Soup manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
Soup really trying hard to get back to half guard here.
Soup tries to hold on but Lake postures up. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Soup is looking to get to half guard. Lake looking to control but Soup is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Chicken Soup dominated that second round. That's time! Soup's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!
Soup tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Lake paws at him with a jab and circles away. Soup shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away. Soup prevents Lake from getting the reversal. Soup lands a big shot there that rocks Lake but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.
Lake slips a leg in and gets back to half guard. Lake looking for submissions from an awkward position here. Lake is trying to stand up here but Soup is controlling him well. Soup sitting and controlling from the half guard. Both fighters are breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Lake punching from the bottom.
Soup slows the pace down in half guard. Ground and pound from Soup. Lake gets full guard. Soup trying to control the position from guard on top but Lake is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Soup pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Lake is keeping the position for now. Soup looking to control the position here, rather than advance. Lake working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Soup doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Soup manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Lake has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Soup can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Lake working for a triangle but Soup defends it easily.
Lake looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Soup scores with a decent looking elbow strike. Lake wants to sweep but no luck. Lake being controlled here, momentarily. Lake keeping moving, preventing Soup from controlling successfully. Lake wants to sweep here but Soup controlling him for the moment. Soup avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Soup pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Lake is keeping the position for now.
