Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Elias Buckner (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Angel Soriano (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Angel Soriano has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Elias Buckner!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Angel Soriano!
The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, Stewart Dunkirk and George Francis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Buckner shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Soriano as he jumps to the side.
Soriano lets it all go there with a big combo counter but none of the punches connected.
Soriano misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.

Soriano closes the distance and pushes Buckner back into the cage.

Buckner breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
The fight stays on the outside here - Buckner looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Soriano with the counter takedown but Buckner avoids it easily.
Soriano throws a push kick but Buckner slaps the foot to one side.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Soriano feints and as Buckner raises his hands in defense, Soriano changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Buckner has his foot on Soriano's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Soriano works his way back into a safe position though.
Soriano is looking to advance position but Buckner has hit a scissor sweep - now he's on top in mount!

Soriano is trying desperately to improve position.

Buckner tries to control but Soriano wriggling away.
Soriano is looking to improve his position but Buckner isn't that keen on the idea.
Soriano wants to get back to his feet.

Buckner has control of Soriano's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Soriano regains control of the situation pretty easily.
Soriano should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Soriano wants to hold on but Buckner pushes him away.

Buckner throwing sloppy strikes, which aren't doing any damage.
Soriano tries to lock up and control but Buckner gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
Soriano wriggling around on the bottom manages to avoid the strikes thrown by Buckner.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Soriano tries to buck Buckner off but he can't manage it.
Soriano is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

A lull in the action here as Soriano stalls from top position.
Soriano really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Buckner. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Buckner throws an elbow to the body but it doesn't land.
The referee tells the fighters to keep busy.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Buckner tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Soriano wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
Soriano wants to stand but Buckner is controlling his arm.

Buckner is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Soriano's leg. He's managed it. Nice work.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.

Soriano gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.

Buckner wants to take the fight to the mat but Soriano manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.

Elias Buckner overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Let's hope that Soriano has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

Buckner pushes Soriano off looking to stand but Soriano dives back in and keeps control.

As Soriano tries to get set, Buckner tries to push him back and clinch up but Soriano manages to avoid the attempt.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Angel Soriano showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. And we move into the final round!

A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.

Angel Soriano comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Soriano has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
