The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A jab from Poutanes does it's job there.

It looks like Keenan Cornelius has been cut.
Poutanes misses with a straight left.
And Cornelius tries to counter it with a takedown but Poutanes pushes his down on his head and steps out.
Cornelius on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot.

Cornelius fails miserably with a takedown attempt.

Cornelius goes for a double leg but Poutanes avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Poutanes continues to drive forward.

Cornelius with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Poutanes to score with a decent uppercut.

That has opened up Keenan Cornelius's cut even more.

Poutanes throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Cornelius takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.

Poutanes feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Cornelius sprawling to the canvas! Cornelius rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Poutanes finish him?!

Poutanes is looking to wear down Cornelius with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment.

Cornelius seems to have recovered his senses.
